The mid-year progress report and all completed AAR/IPs related to deliverables 3.1, 10.1, and 12.1 are due by January 19, 2018. For additional details, refer to the BP1-17 LHD Work Plan.
The Michigan Mortuary Response Team (MI-MORT) full scale exercise is scheduled for May 16 - 18, 2018 in Taylor, Michigan. Components of the family assistance center pilot project will be exercised along with recovery, morgue operations, etc. Registration information and additional details will be shared when available.
Representing 25% of the U.S. population, children are one of the most vulnerable populations in emergencies. To help meet the needs of children in disasters, CDC’s Children’s Preparedness Unit recently activated a Children’s Health Desk for the 2017 hurricane response. Damon Gorelick’s last day with the Division of Emergency Preparedness and Response will be January 17, 2018. The new region 3 point of contact will be announced in the next PHEP update.
