December 2017 EPC Call

The December 14, 2017 EPC Call agenda is linked below. Due to a schedule conflict with the Statewide Bi-Weekly Hepatitis A Call for CD, Immz, and EH Programs, the EPC call start time will be moved back to 2:00 PM EST.

Additionally, materials for the presentation from the American Red Cross are linked below for review prior to the meeting.

  • Focused Hepatitis Plan
A one-page hepatitis A infection control and prevention plan that would be implemented in shelters opened in areas of confirmed hepatitis A outbreaks. Implementation of this plan is in addition to infection control and prevention initiatives implemented routinely in all Red Cross shelters.
  • Sheltering Infection Control and Prevention
A Red Cross job tool for providing support to clients that includes guidance in providing services to clients in the aftermath of disasters. The infection control and prevention section is on Page 6 of this attachment and is titled “Assisting with Infection Control and Prevention in Sheltering Environment”.
  • DHS Worksheet
This form is utilized in shelters by nurses for assessments of functional and access needs and identifying health issues. These are completed as soon as possible after shelter opening and ongoing as needed.
  • APIC: Infection Control and Prevention for Shelters During Disaster
Red Cross policy is based on APIC Guidelines.
