PHEP Section Update

October 11, 2017

In this update:

MISNS SharePoint Updates

As noted in Activity 8 of the BP1-17 LHD Work Plan, LHDs are required to provide a bi-annual update of MISNS Request SharePoint site users, DN, and POD sites to ensure the information is current for each respective jurisdiction. EPCs were emailed an excel spreadsheet earlier today with three tabs: a list of public health users, a list of DN sites, and a list POD sites. Updates are due to Damon Gorelick at gorelickd@michigan.gov by October 31, 2017.

BP1-17 LHD Work Plan Deliverable 11.2 - IMATS Drills

To help maintain proficiency and implementation of IMATS, all EPCs (or their designee) are required to participate in DEPR-developed IMATS drills. EPCs were emailed instructions and a shipping inventory for the 2017 BP1 first IMATS Drill earlier today. The drill is required to be completed by January 5, 2018. Note: the drill should be completed in the “Training Site” of IMATS. No documentation is required to be submitted. Participation records are maintained in IMATS. For questions or assistance, contact Damon Gorelick at gorelickd@michigan.gov.

BP1-17 LHD Work Plan Deliverable 17.2 - LHD EM/Domain V Survey

As a reminder, the LHD EM/Domain V Survey is due October 27, 2017. The “Additional Comments” section of the survey should be utilized to specify where the survey data was derived from (e.g. personal knowledge, County EOP, Human Services EAG, local EM, etc.). Local emergency managers have been encouraged by MSP to assist LHDs with the survey, as well as to complete a similar one that was sent to them separately regarding volunteer management. LHDs experiencing any issues obtaining the necessary information should contact their jurisdiction’s MSP District Coordinator or Jennifer Lixey-Terrill at lixeyterrillj@michigan.gov.

MICIMS Trainers List

MSP has posted a contact list of MICIMS trainers that includes the jurisdictions they conduct training. The contact list is linked below.
