2025 Shadow Program COHORT 2 APPLICATION

The Shadow Program is back for Cohort 2!

Detroit residents ages 18–25 are invited to apply for this unique opportunity to get civically engaged and explore how city government works from the inside.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be a Detroit resident
Ages 18–25
Must commit to attending Orientation and be available for all listed dates (participants will be assigned one Friday)
Demonstrated passion for exploring Detroit and civic engagement

Program Dates:

Friday, September 19, 2025
Friday, September 26, 2025
Friday, October 3, 2025
Friday, October 10, 2025

Each selected participant will be paired with a city department for a one-day shadowing experience. The program concludes with a Reflection Lunch to share takeaways and celebrate the cohort.
