DDOT lifting capacity limits on Thursday, July 1st 

Effective Thursday, July 1st, DDOT will lift seating capacity limits. Passengers will still be required to wear a face mask while onboarding the coach per Federal Law through September 13, 2021. While signs blocking off seats will be removed, please continue social distancing when possible.​

In addition, we encourage the use of cashless forms of payment, like bus passes and the Dart app. As a reminder, please avoid public transit if you feel sick, have tested positive for COVID-19, or if you think or know you have been exposed to COVID-19.

8 Warren Detour

Rider Alert: 8 Warren Temporary Detour

8 Warren westbound is experiencing a reroute due to a road closure at E. Warren and Dequindre. The reroute is as follows: regular to right on Chene, to left on Ferry, to left on Russell, to right on Warren to regular.

ADA Updates

  • Detroit MetroLift is available to ADA riders within a ¾ mile area around all DDOT bus stops. Visit the Detroit MetroLift page for an interactive map that will show if an address is within the ¾ mile area.
  • Expiration of Detroit MetroLift certification ends on the rider’s birthday. The reservationist can tell you the year of expiration if you are not sure. Recertification can be done up to 45 days in advance.

Any concerns with a Detroit MetroLift experience should be reported as soon as possible to Detroit MetroLift, Customer Care by calling (313) 208 363, then pressing #3.

Call (313) 833-9836 if you see suspicious activity or need assistance, Transit Police are here to help. Our line is monitored from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. During the weekends and holidays, calls are sent directly to voicemail and checked on the next business day.
