Council Approvals 

  • Emergency residential demolition at 5955 Chopin

  • Emergency commercial demolition at 8333 Livernois and 8945 Dearborn

  • The Men's Senior Baseball League and Friends of St. Hedwig Park made a donation to fund improvements at St. Hedwig Park 

  • Southwest Housing Solutions purchased 15 parcels near Junction, Jackson Ave, 33rd St and Buchanan St from the Detroit Land Bank Authority to construct a pocket park to support the nearby community

You can now download the Dart mobile app to buy Dart passes to ride DDOT and SMART buses!

Starting October 1st, QLINE will also join the Dart app and accept Dart mobile passes.

When using the app and purchasing a pass, you can show it to the driver when boarding.


Detroit Charter Revision Commission Updates

You can find agendas and minutes, committee information and submit your own proposed revisions to the Charter here. The Commission is accepting initial proposals for revisions to the Detroit Charter through December 2019.

No more overdue fines at the Detroit Public Library!

Beginning September 1, 2019, the Detroit Public Library will no longer charge overdue fines for late returns. All past due fines are cancelled (except for damaged or lost items.) However, please still return your items on or before your due dates - you can't check out material until your items have been returned!

  • Check out The Zoning Analytic - This has initial recommendations to address problems with the current Zoning Ordinance. This is not the final product - please send your input to the City Planning Commission as it prepares to revise the Zoning Ordinance
