Team Rocky had a wonderful time hosting our 5th Naturalization Ceremony and assisting five beautification projects around the district this month. As summer approaches, there are lots of great resources and events like the ones in this month's e-newsletter. The Detroit Board of Water Commissioners will vote on DWSD Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Rates at its June meeting. There will also be a public hearing on proposed sewer upgrade projects.
If you attend, DWSD customer service staff will be available to meet with you.

Schools throughout the city will host recreation and leisure activities this summer for youth ages 6-17. For more information, call 313-224-1100.
Kemeny Center will be hosting an end of school summer celebration!
There will be food, ice cream, bike repairs, nail painting, inflatables, music, haircuts, and MORE!

100% City funding for the decommissioning and demolition of the Joe Louis Arena.
On-Premises and Resort Liquor Licenses within the City of Detroit Redevelopment Project Area for 20 establishments across all 7 districts. Six of those are in District 6.
These liquor licenses can be granted to qualified locations around the city for a discounted price ($23,000).
Acceptance of $14M (granted to the Invest Detroit Foundation from various corporations and foundations) to the Strategic Neighborhood Fund with the purpose of catalyzing parks and greenways within the targeted neighborhoods.
