The East Michigan Chapter of the Air
& Waste Management Association
Invites you to our October Workshop
Sponsored by Barr Engineering, Ann Arbor
Understanding the
Industrial Boiler MACT Standards
The Industrial Boiler
MACT/GACT regulations have been finalized, and though some issues are
still being litigated, it appears that the rules are in their
final form. These rules affect both area and major sources of
air toxics and include emission limitations, testing and monitoring, as
well as work practices like tune-ups and energy assessments for boilers
and process heaters. Area sources have only until March 21,
2014, to comply, while major sources have until January 31,
2016.
Kim Alfonsi and Lillian Woolley of Barr Engineering will
provide an overview of the rules. Kathryn Cunningham of
Consumers Energy will offer tips for developing an
implementation plan and offer a case study from her work at company
power plants and compressor stations.
Space is limited so
pre-registration is required. The cost of
the workshop is $25 (AWMA members) and $30 (non members) and includes
morning refreshments.
Registration is now open here. |
