MSDS Offline for 2024-25 School Year Rollover

MSDS will be offline for system maintenance in preparation for the 2024-25 school year from 8 a.m. EDT on Monday, Sept. 16 through the morning of Monday, Sept. 23. Please plan accordingly. UIC services via the Michigan Data Hub will remain available.

MSDS: Removal of Request for UIC and 2022-23 Data

CEPI will remove all Request for UIC Collection data as well as 2022-23 school year data from the staging area during the school year rollover.

If you wish to retain these data, download and save your collections and reports by Sept. 15. After this date, users will no longer have access to these collections.

Once rollover completes, the new Request for UIC Collection will open for the 2024-25 school year. The updated schema, sample file and schema summary have been posted for the 2024-25 Request for UIC Collection.

MSDS Important Dates

The following MSDS collections will open on Monday, Sept. 23:

  • 2024-25 Student Record Maintenance
  • 2024-25 Migrant Teacher Student Data Link
  • Fall 2024 General
    • Oct. 2: Fall pupil membership count date
    • Oct. 24: Data quality checks performed on data submitted before this date
    • Nov. 6: Certification deadline
    • Nov. 13: Recertification deadline
  • Fall 2024 Early Childhood
    • Reporting Period: Beginning of program year through Oct. 31
    • Oct. 29: Data quality checks performed on data submitted before this date
    • Nov. 13: Certification deadline

SRM and Graduation Rate Appeals Closing Soon

The 2023-24 SRM Collection is open until Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. The Graduation Rate Appeals Window also closes at this time.

SE-4094 General Education Collection

The State School Aid Act of 1979 388.1622l appropriates an amount not to exceed $125,000,000 to districts for transportation costs. To correctly allocate this funding based on ridership and previous expenditures, please submit general education transportation data in the SE-4094 and FID collection accurately.

How REP Supports Educator Workforce Data

On Oct. 3 from 2 to 3:30 p.m., CEPI and MDE will host a joint webinar on How REP Supports Educator Workforce Data. The webinar will focus on the who and what is expected to be reported in REP, the timing of reporting, requirements for vacancy reporting, and data quality considerations.

MI School Data News

Visit MI School Data to view the new Report Builder tool, which lets users create custom datasets using MI School Data metrics. CEPI has also posted updates to the College Readiness (Includes SAT Data), English Learner Assessment, English Learner Dashboard, Grades 3-8 State Testing (Includes PSAT Data) and High School State Testing reports, as well as the Parent Dashboard.

The Student Attendance report has been released in preview and will be publicly available within a week. The Achievement Gap🔒 report  is available for users with a secure login.
