D/CH Certification Deadline

ISD users must review and certify the Days and Clock Hours submissions for their districts by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Thursday, Aug. 1.

District users who have not yet certified their collections should do so as soon as possible to allow the ISD time to review and correct any potential errors.

For the 2023-24 school year, if a district only experienced an attendance shortfall and the only cancelled days were forgiven, they will not need to report day and hour cancellations. Instead, a comment can be added in the Audit section noting that the district had days cancelled that were forgiven.

For application questions, refer to the D/CH User Guide. Questions about the State School Aid Act should be directed to Jessica Beagle at BeagleJ1@michigan.gov.

Submission of CEPI Application Security Forms

Beginning Sept. 1, 2024, CEPI will no longer accept faxed security forms. All security forms will need to be emailed to cepi@michigan.gov.

CEPI Application Security Access Removal

Reminder: When an employee with access to CEPI applications leaves your district, you must submit a CEPI User Removal Form to remove that employee’s access. Completed removal forms can be sent to cepi@michigan.gov.

MiEdWorkforce and Mi-Key

CEPI and the Michigan Department of Education are developing the MiEdWorkforce (previously known as MORE) data system to replace both REP and the Michigan Online Educator Certification System, thus reducing reporting burdens and improving data transparency.

Mi-Key Logo

MiEdWorkforce will use Mi-Key, a system that maintains a single unique identifier for individuals in the education sector and uses advanced matching to let us connect education data records over time, including student (early childhood through postsecondary) and education personnel. Mi-Key will replace the current UIC and PIC processes.

This is a multi-year project. CEPI and MDE will make sure users and vendors have plenty of time to prepare. While the timeline has not yet been finalized, the target for MiEdWorkforce to replace REP and MOECS is 2027. Watch the CEPI Announcements and the MDE Educationally Speaking Newsletter for additional updates, including answers to frequently asked questions.
