The following 2024-25 School Year documentation is now available on the MSDS web page:
For the purpose of obtaining updated address information for Summer EBT, a snapshot will be taken of the EC EOP collection prior to its closing. Please ensure your EC EOP collection is certified by Friday, June 28 and remains certified until Friday, July 12. On July 12 you may decertify the collection for further updates as needed.
Please closely monitor the following in the REP submissions, due Friday, June 28 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
Vacancies
Using field 12 “Funded Position Status” to report all vacant funded positions in an LEA is essential to accurately represent educator shortages within the state. Improved reporting will provide additional support for policy changes to address workforce challenges.
Please work with the individual completing the end-of-year REP collection to ensure any instructional position that has not been permanently filled, but is still within the budget, is reported in field 12 with a status of “1.” If the position is vacant and filled by a temporary employee, report a status of “5” for the position.
Employment Status
Ensuring that field 25 “Employment Status” accurately reflects the reason an educator is leaving a position is essential to improving educator retention and mobility data in Michigan.
