MI School Data News: Postsecondary Success Rates

CEPI has published updated Postsecondary Success Rates for Michigan’s colleges and universities, but what does it really mean to succeed in college? While every student and parent has their own individual goals, CEPI tracks the following successes in this report:

  • Earning a certificate
  • Earning an associate degree
  • Earning a bachelor’s degree
  • Transferring to a university (for community college students)

In the latest updates, public university four-year success rates increased to 58.3%, up 0.6 from last year. For community colleges, the two-year success rates fell 1.6 points to 23.8%.

Use the dropdowns in the Postsecondary Success Rates report to explore rates for other years and cohorts, or for individual colleges and universities. You can also find breakdowns by race/ethnicity and gender.

See details of this update and upcoming reports on the MI School Data News and Updates page.
