REP Reminder from MDE: EXPLORE Course Code

The MDE Office of Educator Excellence would like to remind districts about the best codes to use for Future Proud Michigan Educator: EXPLORE courses. The REP assignment code created for this course is 000ME: “Future MI Educator.” The associated SCED code uses Subject Code 19 and Course Identifiers 151, 152, 154, 197 or 198. These codes can be used for future educator courses that make use of the EXPLORE curriculum or meet the EXPLORE competencies.

Featured Report: Workforce Data

How much more does someone in Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree earn, on average, than someone with a high school diploma? How much can a Michigan resident with a Master degree in veterinary medicine expect to earn after one year in the workplace? What about after five years?

The Workforce Reports on MI School Data are designed to answer these questions and more. The reports include median wage trends and comparisons by educational attainment and field of study.

New features have been added to the reports to allow users to filter the results by a particular ISD or college/university, in addition to statewide. Another improvement lets users delve deeper into the data with filters such as age, ethnicity, gender, and industry.

Median Annual Wages by Field of Study

These reports are a valuable tool, not only for K-12 and postsecondary institutions to track how their students are performing in the workplace, but also for students and parents to compare potential wage outcomes for different educational paths and fields of study.

Upcoming Summer EBT Webinar

MDE’s Office of Health and Nutrition Services is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. to discuss the new Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer program, including EBT eligibility and reporting requirements.
