MI School Data News

Section 31a of the State School Aid Act provides support for services to at-risk students. The goal is to ensure that all students are attending school regularly and are proficient in English Language Arts by the end of 3rd grade, math by the end of 8th grade, and career- and college-ready by graduation.

CEPI has updated the At Risk Student report showing the number and percentage of at-risk 3rd, 8th and 11th grade students who were proficient on state assessment tests in the 2022-23 school year.

“At risk” students include those who are economically disadvantaged, victims of abuse or neglect, chronically absent, and more. (See the “About This Report” section of the report for the full list.)

See details of this update and upcoming reports on the MI School Data News and Updates page.
