Saturday, Aug. 8
9 a.m.-noon, Kuebler Langford Nature Area. In the 1970s, Kuebler Langford was used as a staging area during the construction of M-14. Now this property is a wooded ravine with an expansive prairie. Heavy construction equipment disturbed the soil and made it easier for invasive plants to take over. Help us remove these aggressive plants and restore this incredible prairie! Please pregister online.

1-4 p.m., Bird Hills Nature Area. About 10,000 years ago, the Wisconsin Glacier advanced and retreated, creating lots of hills and depressions throughout Ann Arbor. Bird Hills Nature Area is a great example of the impact glaciers have on topography. Explore the dramatic landscape of this park while removing invasive plants from the woods. Please preregister online

Join the Visit Every Park (VEP) challenge
With 163 parks in Ann Arbor's parks system, we’re thinking you may not have been to all of them. We invite you to embark on a Visit Every Park challenge. Get outdoors, explore and discover a new park space you've never been to before and track your journey. Now more than ever, parks are an essential way to connect to your community. While on this journey, please remember to respect everyone’s right to spend time in our public spaces. No matter the color of your skin, ethnicity, income level, age, gender or ability, parks are available and accessible for all. Check out the latest parks in the challenge (see attachment) , or learn more on our web page.

Love a Park Day Lend a hand, give your time and join us Sunday, Aug. 1, 1-3 p.m. at Landsdowne Park, to help beautify and clean up a park that needs a little love and attention. We bring the music and tools, you bring the energy and desire to make a difference, and together we make a beautiful parknership! Volunteers will help with pulling weeds on the playground areas and cut overgrowth in other areas around the park. All volunteers must register prior to the workday by emailing volunteer@a2gov.org. Participants must bring their own mask to wear and maintain 6 feet of physical distances from others throughout the event.
