Scholarship

Maine Legislative Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Maine Legislature annually recognizes one student from each county who is currently pursuing or planning to pursue education at a two- or four-year degree-granting Maine college or technical school. Awards are given to Maine resident high school seniors or full- or part-time postsecondary students accepted to or enrolled in accredited Maine colleges for graduate or undergraduate degrees.

The 2024-2025 application cycle is now open. Due to the 2024-2025 FAFSA processing delay, the deadline to apply has been extended from May 1, 2024 to June 1, 2024.*

EMS Week

Honoring Our Past, Forging Our Future

May 19-25 marks the 50th anniversary of National EMS Week. It's a time to show our gratitude toward EMTs and paramedics who provide lifesaving care across the nation every day. EMS Week is also a time to educate the public about EMS, and the essential service we provide to communities.

This year’s theme is “Honoring Our Past, Forging Our Future.” NAEMT partners with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) on EMS Week to encourage the nationwide recognition of EMS Week and contributions of EMS professionals.

EMS Week celebrates the paramedics, EMTs and other EMS professionals who work diligently to care for their patients and serve their communities in times of crisis.
