2026-2027 COVID-19 Vaccine Available for Order
The Maine Immunization Program (MIP) is pleased to announce that we currently have a limited quantity of Moderna (Spikevax) COVID-19 vaccine available to order for children ages 6 months – 18 years for the 2026-2027 respiratory virus season.
Due to initial limited quantities, ordering is currently limited to two Moderna (Spikevax) pediatric products. MIP will update providers as additional presentations become available to order for pediatrics, and when ordering opens for uninsured and underinsured adults ages 19-64.

Recommendations for Children 6 Months Through 18 Years:
- All infants and children 6 through 23 months of age
- Children 6 months through 18 years of age who are moderately or severely immunocompromised
- Children 2 through 18 years of age in certain additional risk groups, including those at high risk of severe COVID-19
- Residents of long-term care facilities or other congregate settings
- Children who have never been vaccinated against COVID-19
- Children whose household contacts are at high risk for severe COVID-19.
