Tentative Timeline for Pfizer/Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine

for Children 5-Years and Under

 Wednesday, June 15:

• FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) will discuss Moderna and Pfizer's EUA requests 

Thursday, June 16:

• Anticipated release of official Moderna and Pfizer EUAs

Thursday, June 16 (PM)/Friday, June 17 (AM):

• Vaccine pre-orders will re-open as soon as the EUAs are official

Friday, June 17 & Saturday, June 18:

• Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to vote
• Providers may not administer vaccine until official authorization has been made by ACIP

Monday, June 20:

• Wave 1 pre-orders will start arriving at provider offices
• Reminder: June 20 is the Juneteenth Holiday – Providers must be available to receive the shipment upon arrival

Wednesday, June 22:

• Save the date: Clinician Outreach and Community Activity (COCA) Call
  • Call details TBD

Thursday, June 23:

• Wave 2 may start shipping as early as Thursday
  • All pre-orders will likely be delivered by Friday, June 24

• Pfizer: Medical Updates & Immunization Site Training for All Healthcare Providers
• *Moderna trainings have not yet been released.
