Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Exceptions Requirement

This message is for providers using Sandata and alternate EVV systems and is a follow-up to a message from December 18, 2020.

For dates of service starting on March 19, 2021, we have removed the requirement to acknowledge the following Exception ID descriptions:

  • 39 Client Signature Exception – signature does not exist for the member on the visit.
  • 28 Visit Verification Exception – member did not verify the time in and time out on the visit.

All other exceptions for EVV will remain in place and will continue to require an acknowledgement.
