Dear Parents, Resource Families, & Stakeholders,

As Maine has begun to implement re-opening plans, we have developed a series of revised practices to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Maine’s children while also safeguarding the health of staff, contracted providers, children, parents, resource parents, and other stakeholders.

Attached to this email, these revised practices and processes include upcoming changes to family visitation. These changes are in line with the State’s plan to gradually reopen Maine, while also providing for health and safety related precautions, including the use of face coverings and physical distancing.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to convey my appreciation for your dedication to the health, safety, and wellbeing of Maine’s children and families.

Thank you,
Bobbi L. Johnson, LMSW
