Atlantic Staffing of Augusta is looking for up to 60 people to help track down suspected Coronavirus infections, work which is done from the safety of your own home. These jobs are with the Maine Centers for Disease Control, and are vital to the public health system.

In this webinar, H.R. Director Robin Wood and H.R. Recruiter Todd Gilley of Reed & Reed will give an overview of the company’s recruiting and hiring process, review how apprenticeships work, discuss the qualities they are seeking in their apprentices, and explain how to get started in an apprenticeship.
Reed & Reed has jobs available statewide and performs a wide range of heavy, civil construction services associated with the building of cable-stayed bridges, marine terminals, wind farms, commercial buildings, pile-driving, parking garages, and environmental remediation.
Kylie Higgins, the new VA Maine’s Homeless Community Employment Coordinator, will present online about Veteran homelessness, 10–11 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 18.
The program is to assist veterans, who are either homeless or at risk of being homeless, to achieve gainful employment by collaborating with community agencies and employers, as part of their recovery and reintegration into the community. FREE TRAINING AS COMPUTER SUPPORT SPECIALIST/HELP DESK TECHNICIAN
WHEN: Various course start dates through March 2021. Day and evening cohorts available!
WHERE: Your home, through live/online instruction. Required for participation: Digital device and internet. If a digital device is needed, it may be possible to borrow one.
WHAT: Knowledge and skill development in digital literacy and IT support: including hardware and software troubleshooting, operating systems, and communication and procedure.
RESULT: Participants earn two industry certifications: IC3® & CompTIA® A+. You will be prepared for employment as a computer user support specialist/help desk technician.
PREREQUISITES:
Unemployed or underemployed
Authorized for work in U.S.
Testing required
Resident of Maine
Ages 17-29
Not enrolled in High School

This workshop will help you start out on the right path.
This two -hour workshop will provide an overview of SBA programs and service, and cover the basics of starting a business:
