Join your local fisheries biologists for a brief history of the Halfmoon Pond brook trout fishery, information about the current fish assemblage and the commercial smelt fishery, along with data we’ve collected recently including comprehensive winter creel survey data, gillnet and trap-net results, and overall trout performance. Following this informational meeting, we will be seeking interested stakeholders to form a steering committee to provide input on the development of a management plan that will help guide the Halfmoon Pond brook trout fishery moving forward.

This public meeting and planning process is part of  Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife's Statewide Fisheries and Hatcheries Management Plan which includes development of water-specific management plans for fisheries across the state.
