MDIFW is Seeking Snow Removal Service Bids
Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife is seeking bids for snow removal services for its regional offices in Gray, Sidney, Greenville, Strong, Enfield, and Ashland.
Bids must be submitted by Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 5:00 PM.
Plowing services are expected for the entrance roadway and any parking areas. It is expected snow be removed with plow as close as possible to all exit doors and garage doors. Final removal of snow from walkways and all exterior entry doors will be included in this season’s contract.
Plowing services are expected during business hours (7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) for accumulating snow of 3” or more. Plowing services are also expected on weekends and holidays for accumulating snow of 6” or more. It is expected that all storms will be cleaned up within 3 hours of the end of the snow event during business hours, or prior to the opening of business during the overnight hours. It is expected that parking lots and spaces should be fully cleared of snow. Sanding is expected on an “as needed” basis depending upon roadway and parking area conditions. Plowing may be expected for any special events in which contractor will be notified by Building Administrator. All plowing and sanding services are to be supervised by the Building Manager.
- Any snow removal necessary due to excessive snow should be included in proposal.
- Proof of liability insurance will need to be submitted upon acceptance of proposal.
