Maine’s game wardens have responded to nearly 100 snowmobile crashes so far this season, five of those incidents have been fatal. The leading contributing factor is excessive speed. With over 80,000 snowmobiles registered in Maine this year, driving at a safe speed has never been more important. Failing to operate your snowmobile safely can result in fines, jail time and can even be deadly.
