On December 21, 2023, the Department will present the draft rules to the Board of Environmental Protection, commencing the formal rulemaking process. The Department will not be communicating directly with stakeholders via GovDelivery notifications during the formal rulemaking process, but rather will publish updates and important dates on the Department’s rulemaking website. To receive notifications relating to the formal rulemaking process for Maine’s Stewardship Program for Packaging, you must sign up using this link.
The Department would like to express our appreciation to everyone who has participated in the implementation process of Maine’s Stewardship Program for Packaging thus far.
