The Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is prepared to submit Part 1 of the conceptual draft rules for the Stewardship Program for Packaging for review and additional comment after concluding stakeholder outreach meetings, having one-on-one discussions, and considering comments for all rulemaking topics: Part 1: Conceptual Draft Rules for Stewardship Program for Packaging
The Department will release the remaining conceptual draft rules over the course of the following four weeks. To ensure full consideration, please review and submit your comments to MainePackagingEPR@maine.gov by Friday, October 13, 2023.
