This edition's community member being recognized for outstanding service efforts is Mrs. Patricia Morris of Hands of Hope Caregivers Foundation. Patricia Jones Morris is characterized by qualities such as being God-fearing, loving, caring, strong, selfless, and a passionate advocate for others. With a remarkable career spanning over three decades in the field of Social Work and Mental Health, Patricia Jones Morris has exemplified leadership, resilience, and prosperity. She has contributed her expertise as a member of several prestigious organizations, including the National Board of Addiction Examiners, the Executive Committee of Envisioned Prince Georges, the Academy of Certified Social Workers, the National Association of Social Workers, and the Steny Hoyer’s Women’s Network Advisory Committee. Her impact also extends to shaping organizations, notably serving on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries, chairing Men Aiming Higher (a mentorship organization for young men), serving as past Vice President of the Coalition of 100 Black Women of Prince Georges County, and former director of Family Services in Prince Georges County.

FAMILY RESOURCES
The Prince George's County Family Justice Center provides technical assistance, consulting services, and resources to communities around the world. They are the clearinghouse, research center, and national affiliation organization for Family Justice Centers and other Multi-Agency Centers serving survivors of interpersonal violence.

Utility Relief Assistance Program offered from H.O.P.E. & Stone of Help CDC
Households at or below 80% AMI that have not received utility assistance from Prince George’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) are eligible for ONE-TIMEfinancial assistance payment per property address for past due electric, gas, or water bills up to $500. Applicants will need to contact H.O.P.E. for further details on how to apply for assistance.
