Community Member Recognition

This edition's community member being recognized for their outstanding service efforts is Mrs. Norceia V. Daughtridge. Norceia and her family have lived in Temple Hills, MD, for over 25 years. She is a breast cancer survivor and a true advocate for community service in Maryland. After 42 years of civil service,Norceia has retired from her position as a Management and Program Analyst and Team Leader with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection in Washington, DC. In the next phase of her life, she will continue her legacy of volunteer work within District 8 and Prince George's County. For the past 22 years, she has volunteered to make positive contributions in District 8 through guest speaking, fundraising, leading and executing learning workshops, outreach, providing resources to people experiencing homelessness, and organizing back-to-school and youth holiday gifting programs. As a breast cancer survivor, Mrs. Daughtride has also volunteered her time to fundraise for Hope Connections cancer research and worked to educate the community by promoting cancer awareness.

COMMUNITY FOOD ASSISTANCE
FAMILY RESOURCES
The Prince George's County Family Justice Center provides technical assistance, consulting services, and resources to communities around the world. We are the clearinghouse, research center, and national affiliation organization for Family Justice Centers and other Multi-Agency Centers serving survivors of interpersonal violence.
The extended hours will allow the PGCFJC to provide greater accessibility to survivors of domestic violence, elder abuse, sexual assault and human trafficking. The PGCFJC will now be open later on Thursdays and Fridays. In addition, beginning July 15, 2023, the PCGFJC will be open on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Monday – Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Thursday – 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Friday – 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday – 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. (Beginning July 15th)
