Hello Neighbors,
It is an exciting time at the County Council! This past Monday, we had the Inauguration for the newly elected County Council, and on Tuesday, we had the Exchange of Gavel after electing our new Council leadership. I am very excited about the year ahead and all we can accomplish with the People's Agenda! This incoming Council has big plans to take our County in a new direction, one that truly serves the people of Prince George's County with increased transparency in government, improving services for residents, preserving green spaces and protecting our environment, supporting smart and quality development, supporting working families, ensuring local minority businesses and nonprofits have what they need, and bringing access to quality healthcare to our community.
After being sworn in, I have renewed my commitment to serving Prince George's County and the residents of District 8. It is my honor to serve the community that has raised me, and I am eager to continue to do good work for my neighbors.
In service,
Edward Burroughs III
Prince George's County Council, District 8
