M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation is collecting information about Prince George’s County residents who were born in 1922 (January 1, 1922 to December 31, 1922) to invite them to a special Centenarian Celebration Luncheon. on Friday, May 13, 2022. Each Centenarian may bring up to five (5) guests. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s event will be limited to centenarians and their guests only. CITY OF BOWIE JOB FAIR FOR TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS THIS SATURDAY
 After a two-year hiatus, Bowie’s Young Adult Job Fair returns in person at the City Gymnasium on March 26, from 9 a.m. to Noon. The goal of this job fair is to connect local employers with young adults seeking summer, part-time or full-time employment. Young adults should come prepared with a resume, pen, paper, and be interview-ready. Although not required, pre-registration is encouraged. All pre-registered young adults will be entered in a drawing to win a $50 Target gift card! More than 20 employers will be recruiting, including the City of Bowie, Prince George’s County Department of Corrections, Maryland National-Capital Park Police, Luminis Health, Six Flags, and Wegmans. COUNCIL CHAIR CALVIN S. HAWKINS II, PARTNERS TO PROVIDE COMPUTERS TO SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS
 Council Chair and At-Large Council Member Calvin S. Hawkins II, says he was humbled and emotional as he collaborated on Wednesday, March 23rd, with Minority Technology Foundation representatives to donate computer tablets to students at the Sheppard Pratt School Lanham, in Prince George’s County. The school provides year-round special education and related services for students with autism and related disorders, and is focused on empowering students with the skills, tools, and resources necessary to realize their goals for the future. The Minority Technology Foundation (MTF) is looking to help change the landscape by boosting STEAM education and rallying the support of our community. Headquartered in Prince Georges County MD, MTF is seeking to enhance technology education for students and improve technology access for minorities - especially our at-risk youth.
DISTRICT 3 COUNCIL MEMBER DANNIELLE GLAROS HOLDS FINAL TOWN HALL MEETING AND RESOURCE FAIR
 During this hybrid town hall event on Monday, March 21st, District 3 residents received useful resource information at tables staffed by representatives from various County agencies. Following the resource portion of the event, Council Member Glaros addressed registered guests. Her presentation was followed by a Q&A session. Council Member Glaros noted her appreciation to the Solid Rock Church for sharing their space to host the event, and for providing the tech support required for the virtual portion of the meeting. The annual District 3 Town Hall Meeting and Resource Fair was Council Member Glaros’ final town hall event as she nears the end of her Council term.

COUNCIL JOINS COUNTY CELEBRATION OF WOMEN VETERANS
 Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks proclaimed March 21 – 25, 2022, as Women Veterans Week in Prince George’s County. There are approximately 60,000 veterans who live in Prince George’s County; 10,000 of them are women veterans. The County Council joins County Executive Alsobrooks in honoring and celebrating the military women who call Prince George’s County home. We thank our women veterans for your service and we are proud to recognize your enduring contributions to the nation and our County.
