The National Park Service (NPS) is preparing a Development Concept Plan for Harmony Hall in Fort Washington, MD. The NPS has identified your organization as a potential stakeholder in the planning effort.

Harmony Hall is a 65-acre property located at 10511 Livingston Road, Fort Washington. The property is bordered by Broad Creek, the Harmony Hall Regional Center, the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission's treatment facility, private property owners, and Livingston Road.

The NPS has developed an initial range of potential concepts for the future use and enjoyment of Harmony Hall. The NPS will share these concepts with stakeholders and the public and provide multiple opportunities for feedback. The outcome of the effort will be a Development Concept Plan that contains a range of refined concepts that could then be considered as options for the NPS to implement. It's likely that actions would require additional environmental and historic preservation compliance prior to implementation. The NPS will not pursue commercial development of the site.

Stakeholders are invited to attend a virtual meeting held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm. Click here on March 2 to join the meeting and view the meeting presentation live. The meeting will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share their vision for Harmony Hall's future, provide feedback on an initial range of concepts, and identify any issues or concerns they might have with the project so that the NPS can appropriately consider them in the preparation of the Development Concept Plan.

NPS will also hold a 30-day public comment period to provide the public with an opportunity to share their vision for Harmony Hall's future and provide feedback on the initial range of concepts. The comment period is anticipated to begin in March 2021. During the public comment period, the NPS will also host a virtual public meeting.

Register for Prince George's County Department of the Environment Climate Action Plan Virtual Community Meeting - March 4, 2021

The County will be hosting multiple virtual public meetings over the next several months, including the first one on March 4th at 6:30 p.m. This will be an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to learn about the County's Climate Action Plan process and provide feedback and suggestions on County priorities and strategies.

The County wants to hear from residents, local businesses, community and civic organizations, community nonprofits, local government representatives, Green Teams, schools, health care providers, developers, unions, and anyone else that lives, works, and/or plays in the County.
