Council Member Streeter In the Community
Celebrating our First Responders
Council Member Rodney C. Streeter, along with the Negro League Legends of Hall of Fame (NNL), Inc., co-hosted a celebration of our First Responders on Saturday, September 19th. Many members of the Prince George's County Fire Department, as well as the Prince George's County Police Department were celebrated with a 'DriveBy' of classic cars. The event was planned as a Capitol Beltway salute which started at the Fed Ex Field in Landover, Maryland. During the event, Council Member Streeter was presented with an NNL Award for his support of this, and many other of his community efforts. |
Feeding the Community During a Pandemic
The Coronavirus took our community, nation and frankly the world by storm. On Saturday, September 12th, Council Member Streeter, sponsored a Grab and Go Food Distribution at the Maryland Shiloh Apostolic Church. Families in the community were provided a healthy family food box. |
Cash to Residents In Need
On September 3rd, Council Member Streeter provided sponsorship funding to Employ Prince George's Inc., for a Cash Card Giveaway in District 7. These Cash Cards provided some much needed relief to residents who lost their jobs during this devastating pandemic. |
Getting our Children Ready for School
Council Member Rodney C. Streeter handed out backpacks with school supplies at the Iverson Mall. The Dunn Foundation organized the August 22nd Backpack Grab and Go, which benefited over 200 students. |
