Prince George's County COVID-19
Vaccination Update

Dear Prince Georgians,

  • Based on the latest guidance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the County Health Department is now offering booster shots of the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines to all adults 18 and older.
    • County residents ages 18 years and older are eligible to receive a booster shot if they received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least six months ago or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least two months ago.
    • The FDA and the CDC allow for mix and match dosing for booster shots. Eligible individuals who prefer a vaccine brand may choose which one they receive as a booster dose, regardless of the brand they previously received.
  • In partnership with the County Health Department and Office of Emergency Management, we are hosting another Kids Vaccination Clinic for County children ages 5 to 11 years on Saturday, December 4, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex. This will be a fun, family-friendly event featuring games, prizes/giveaways, food, music, and more.
    • The vaccine will be available to all eligible Prince George’s County residents who attend the event; however, this vaccination clinic is specifically targeting County children ages 5 to 11 years.
    • Walk-ins are welcome at the Kids Vaccination Clinic.
    • Booster shots will be available for adults.
  • We are hosting a COVID-19 Vaccine Tele-Town Hall on Tuesday, December 7 at 6:00 PM. Our County health officials will be providing an update on vaccines for children ages 5 to 11 years and booster shots for adults ages 18 years and older, as well as answering questions from residents. To register to participate, or submit questions or concerns to be addressed, click here.
  • For more information about COVID-19 vaccinations or to schedule an appointment, visit the County Health Department website here.
