If you haven’t already heard, 311 on the Go! is coming. The Office of Community Relations is excited to announce the launch of a new, award- winning program that will be instrumental in bringing Prince George’s County Government out to your community. During the start of the Alsobrooks Administration, quality time and effort was spent to improve the 311 Call Center’s call handling processes. Wait times were reduced from over 2 minutes down to an average of just under 15 seconds. |
While that is great news, County Executive Alsobrooks believes that the residents of this great County deserve even more improvements to the customer service experience. The 311 on the Go! program will be your advocate. This increased level of quality assurance and service includes four components:
Resident Engagement - Increased County Government visibility. 311 on the Go! team members will set up satellite locations and will meet you where you are.
Agency Engagement - 311 on the Go! will work in collaboration with County Government agencies to ensure that concerns like potholes and illegal dumping are addressed in a timely manner.
Administration Engagement - Support of County Executive Initiatives. 311 on the Go! will fully support the County Executive’s new and existing initiatives.
Accountability - 311 on the Go! will improve processes in the County so that we are delivering quality services to residents. This will include regularly scheduled meetings to review the concerns of residents throughout the County. Information gathered and reviewed will be shared with County leadership for decision-making purposes.
Our 311 on the Go! Team conducted a community walk with residents in the Kenilworth section of Bladensburg. During the walk, community members shared their concerns about a specific area which attracted illegally parked cars as well as frequent illegal dumping. Through 311 on the Go!’s intervention, the guardrails that were previously requested by the community, have now been installed.
Our 311 on the Go! Team conducted a community walk with the Office of the County Executive and residents in Chillum. During the walk, we noticed bulky trash and litter along Riggs Rd. Through 311 on the Go!’s intervention, the bulky trash and litter was removed.
The Common Ownership Communities Division will launch the EDVantage HOA Online Training Program this fall! Our overall goal is to develop and enhance participants' understanding of common ownership community policies and procedures. The EDvantage HOA Online Training Program will give community stakeholders the competitive edge needed when leading their community. At the conclusion of the online training program, participants will be able to identify the following:
- The establishment and purpose of the Common Ownership Communities (COC) Division
- The establishment and purpose of the Commission on Common Ownership Communities (CCOC)
- The specific functions of COC and CCOC
- The distinction between homeowners associations, condominium associations, and cooperative housing units
- Legislation specific to common ownership communities
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) usage and procedures
- Appropriate budgeting practices
- The rights and responsibilities of homeowners and boards
