Dear Subscriber,

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will be replacing a drainage inlet on southbound I-695 (Baltimore Beltway Outer Loop) at exit 19, I-795 (Northwest Expressway) in the Pikesville area of Baltimore County on Sunday, February 2, and Monday, February 3. This is emergency work that will require multiple lane closures. The work is expected to be complete by 1 p.m. Monday, February 3, weather permitting.

Beginning 4 p.m. Sunday, February 2, contractor crews will work overnight Sunday and Monday morning to remove and replace a damaged drainage inlet on the far right through lane of southbound I-695 (Beltway outer loop) at the I-795 interchange. This work will affect travel on southbound I-695 through mid-day Monday. Motorists are strongly advised to take alternate routes until the work is completed.
Road work

The State Highway Administration and its contractor Concrete General, Inc. of Gaithersburg, will use temporary barriers, barrels to direct motorists through the work zone and I-795 interchange ramp. Arrow panels and VMS boards placed prior to the work zone will alert motorists to the lane closures and changing traffic patterns.
