Starting August 14: Detours Due to Purple Line Construction at Wayne Avenue and Manchester Road in Silver Spring Will Impact Ride On Routes 12, 13, and 19

Due to Purple Line construction at Wayne Avenue and Manchester Road, Ride On Routes 12, 13, and 19 are being detoured indefinitely starting August 14, 2026. 

Details of the detours can be found below.

Route 12 to Takoma Station (Select Trips Divert to Three Oaks):

From Wayne Ave and Sligo Creek Parkway, left onto Silgo Creek Parkway, right onto Three Oaks Drive, right onto Manchester Road (into Three Oaks Apartments), right onto Schuyler Road, left onto Sligo Creek Parkway, left onto Wayne Ave, and back on route.

Missed Stops

• 8904 Manchester Road (stop ID - 23824)
• Manchester Road & Manchester Place (stop ID - 23826)

Riders should use the bus stop at Manchester Road & Schuyler Road (stop ID - 23822).

Route 13 to Silver Spring Transit Center:

From Wayne Avenue and Manchester Road, continue on Wayne Avenue, right onto Silgo Creek Parkway, right onto Schuyler Road, left onto Manchester Road, and back on route.

• Manchester Road & Manchester Place (stop ID - 23816)
• 8904 Manchester Road (stop ID - 23818)

Riders should use the bus stop at Manchester Road & Schuyler Road (stop ID - 23822).

Route 13 to Takoma Station:

From Manchester Road and Schuyler Road, right onto Schuyler Road, left onto Sligo Creek Parkway, left onto Wayne Ave, and back on route.

Route 19 to Forest Glen (Select Trips Divert to Three Oaks):

From Wayne Avenue and Sligo Creek Parkway, left onto Sligo Creek Parkway, right onto Schuyler Avenue, left onto Manchester Road, left onto Three Oaks Drive, left onto Sligo Creek Parkway, left onto Wayne Avenue, and back on route.
