Ride On Detours Due to Purple Line Construction at Lebanon Street in Silver Spring Impact Ride On Routes 15, 16, 17, 18, and 25 Beginning June 12

Due to Purple Line construction at Lebanon Street in Silver Spring, beginning Thursday, June 12, Ride On Routes 15, 16, 17, 18, and 25 are being detoured. These detours will be in effect until the closure is lifted, with a projected duration of early July 2025. Details of the detours can be found below.

Note: Dashed lines represent original routes and solid or arrowed lines represent detours.

Route 15 to Takoma/Langley Transit Center:

Left onto Merrimac Drive, right onto New Hampshire Ave, right into Takoma/Langley Transit Center. Stop 26686 at University Boulevard East & Merrimac Drive will be bypassed. Use alternate stop 26684 at University Boulevard East & Forston Street.

Route 15 To Silver Spring Transit Center:

From Takoma Langley Transit Center, right onto New Hampshire Avenue, right onto University Boulevard, and back on route. No bus stops will be impacted by this detour.

Route 16 to Silver Spring Transit Center:

From Takoma/Langley Transit Center Bay on University Blvd, right on Merrimac Drive, left onto New Hampshire Avenue, and back on route. Stop 24452 at New Hampshire Avenue & Merrimac Drive will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 27734 (8229 New Hampshire Avenue) and 26690 (Takoma/Langley Transit Center - Bay A).

Route 17 to Takoma/Langley Transit Center:

Cross University Boulevard on Merrimac Drive, right onto New Hampshire Avenue, and right into Takoma/Langley Transit Center. No bus stops will be impacted by this detour. 

Route 17 to Silver Spring Transit Center:

Exit Takoma/Langley Transit Center via New Hampshire Avenue exit. Take a right onto New Hampshire Avenue, right onto University Boulevard, left onto Merrimac Drive, and back on route. No bus stops will be impacted by this detour. 

Routes 18 & 25 to Takoma/Langley Transit Center:

From Merrimac Drive, cross over University Boulevard, right onto New Hampshire Avenue, to bay at Takoma/Langley Transit Center. No bus stops will be impacted by this detour.
