Ride On Route 61 Detour Due to Construction in Gaithersburg Extended Through Friday, May 23

Due to this week's rain fall, the ongoing construction-related Route 61 detour at the Oakmont Avenue/Railroad Street railroad crossing has been extended through Friday, May 23 at 7 p.m. Details of the detour can be found below.

To Germantown Transit: Leaving the station, turn right on Shady Grove Road, left on Midcounty Highway, left on Washington Grove Lane to E Diamond Avenue.
Stops 14428 (Oakmont Avenue & Grovemont Circle), 14429 (Oakmont Avenue & Helgeman Court), 14430 (Oakmont Avenue & Citation Drive), 25984 (Shady Grove Road & Oakmont Avenue), 25982 (Shady Grove & Crabbs Branch Way), 10030 (Railroad Street & Ridge Street), 10029 (Railroad Street & Grove Street), and 16031 (Railroad Street & Hickory Road) will be bypassed.

To Shady Grove: From E Diamond Avenue turn left on Washington Grove Lane, right on Midcounty Highway, right on Shady Grove Road to the station.
Stops 10032 (Railroad Street & Grove Street), 10033 (Railroad Street & Ridge Street), 10031 (Oakmont Avenue & Citation Drive), 14424 (Oakmont Avenue & Atlas Drive), 14426 (Oakmont Avenue & Grovemont Circle), and 25968 (Shady Grove & Crabbs Branch Way) will be bypassed.
