Metro Red Line Closures to Impact Montgomery County Stations This Weekend, September 14 & 15
Due to construction, Red Line service will be impacted on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15, with no train service between Medical Center and Grosvenor. Metro crews will renew rail fasteners and conduct third rail maintenance, repair grouts, and remove old material. Free shuttle buses will replace train service between Medical Center and Grosvenor on Saturday and Sunday
The Red Line will have the following service:
- Trains between Shady Grove and Grosvenor-Strathmore every 6 minutes during the day and every 10 minutes after 9:30 p.m.
- Trains between Medical Center to Glenmont every 8 minutes during the day and every 10 minutes after 9:30 p.m.
- Free shuttle buses will replace trains between Grosvenor-Strathmore and Medical Center
