Detours Due to Takoma Park 4th of July Parade Will Impact Ride On Routes 12, 16, 17, and 18
Due to the Takoma Park 4th of July Parade, Ride On Routes 12, 16, 17, and 18 will experience detours on Thursday, July 4 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Details of the detours can be found below.
Route 12:

To Takoma Station: From Flower Avenue, left on Carroll Avenue, right on Merrimac Drive, right on University Boulevard, right on New Hampshire Avenue, continue on New Hampshire Avenue (bypassing Ethan Allen Avenue), then right on Eastern Avenue, and left on Carroll Street to the station. Stops 20790, 20794, 20796, 20798, 20800, 20802, 20804, and 27762 will bypassed. Use alternate stops 22332 and 20806.

To Silver Spring Transit Center: Leaving the station, left on Cedar Street, right on Eastern Avenue, left on New Hampshire Avenue, left on University Boulevard, left on Merrimac Drive, left on Carroll Avenue, right on Flower Avenue, and back on route. Stops 20744, 20746, 20748, 20750, 20752, 20754, and 29684 will bypassed. Use alternate stops 20742 and 22274.
Route 16:

To Takoma Station: Continue on New Hampshire Avenue (bypassing Ethan Allen Avenue), then right on Eastern Avenue, Left on Carroll Street, and to the station. Stops 14859, 20798, 20800, 20802, 20804, 28994, 28996 and 28998 will bypassed. Use alternate stops 29030, 20806.

To Silver Spring Transit Center: Take Carroll Street; bear right on Eastern Avenue, left on New Hampshire Avenue, and back on route. Stops 20744, 20746, 20748, 29002, 29004, 29006, 29008 and 29684 will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 20742 and 20910.
Route 17:

To Langley Park: From Philadelphia Avenue, left on Piney Branch Road, Right on Flower Avenue, left on Carroll Avenue, and back on route. Stops 16026, 23848, 23850, 23852, 23854, 24854 and 24856 will bypassed. Use alternate stops 24852 and 22332.

To Silver Spring Transit Center: From Carroll Avenue, right on Flower Avenue, left on Piney Branch Road, right on Philadelphia Avenue, and back on route. Stops 23856, 23858, 23860, 23862, 24860 and 24862 will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 22274 and 24874.
Route 18:

To Langley Park: Leaving Takoma station take Eastern Avenue, right on Piney Branch Road, right on Flower Avenue, left on Carroll Avenue, and back on route. Stops 15350, 15352, 15356, 15348, 15350, 20744, 20746, 20748, 23852, 23854, 29684 and 26956 will bypassed. Use alternate stops 20742 and 22332.

To Silver Spring Transit Center: From Carroll Avenue, right on Flower Avenue, left on Piney Branch Road, left on Eastern Avenue to Takoma Station. Regular routing from there. Stops 15354, 15348, 20798, 20800, 20802, 20804, 23856, 23858, 23860 and 23862 will be bypassed. Use alternate stops 22274 and 20806.
