Montgomery County has hit a major milestone for EV adoption. For the first time ever, over 10,000 new EVs were registered in the County over a 12 month period. Over 20% of all newly registered vehicles have been EVs over that time, and EVs make up over 4% of vehicles in the County. With over 33,000 total plug-in vehicles registered, nearly one-third of all EVs registered in Maryland are found in Montgomery County.
Check out the Maryland Department of Transportation EV Dashboard for more details on registrations and EV charging stations by County.
DEP continues to focus on ways to support EV charging for Common Ownership Communities, such as condominiums, co-ops, and townhomes. In coordination with the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCA), we have a new survey to learn more about communities in the County that are pursuing and considering installing EV charging infrastructure and the barriers they face.

The same information will be shared at both webinars.
Please register for one of the webinars to access the meeting link and receive presentation materials:
Tuesday, June 18, 2024 — 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 20, 2024 — 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
MDOT will share information on the NEVI Plan and Program, share resources for interested and current EV owners, and gather your feedback.
