County Executive Elrich to Cut the Ribbon for County’s New Resiliency Hub 

Thursday, April 20, 11 a.m.

Bette Carol Thompson Scotland Neighborhood Recreation Center 7700 Scotland Drive, Potomac 

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and Maryland Energy Administration Secretary Paul Pinsky will join leaders from Montgomery County Recreation and the Department of General Services’ Office of Energy and Sustainability for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Bette Carol Thompson Scotland Neighborhood Recreation Center in Potomac on Thursday, April 20 at 11 a.m., to celebrate the center’s new Resiliency Hub.

The Resiliency Hub is designed to provide a safe haven for the local community by keeping the center powered during electrical grid outages. It is the first one in the County and will service a historically black community.
