Complete the Montgomery County Monkeypox (MPX) Vaccine Pre-Registration Today!
Montgomery County has expanded its eligibility requirements for monkeypox (MPX) vaccine. Based on vaccine availability, monkeypox vaccination is now being offered to the following groups:
Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men and trans people of all genders
Sex workers (of any gender)
Staff (of any gender) at establishments where sexual activity occurs (e.g. bathhouses, saunas, sex clubs)
All people, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, with multiple or unknown sexual partners, with priority being given to immunocompromised individuals and members of impacted communities
Self-identified contacts of a known or unknown case (including healthcare staff and lab staff working directly with monkeypox diagnostic testing)
Public Health identified contacts of known MPX cases
Anyone may pre-register for a vaccine, however, you may not receive an appointment unless you meet the above criteria. As more supply becomes available we will expand the eligibility criteria based on the latest public health guidance. Pre-registration does not guarantee an invitation to book an appointment. Invitations may be sent out based on individual risk level while ensuring equity of access, and will not be based on the speed of registration. Once you have been selected for an appointment, you will be contacted. Monkeypox (MPX) is a rare, but potentially serious viral illness that can be transmitted from person to person through direct contact with body fluid or monkeypox lesions.
