The latest data on EV registrations in the County shows steady growth, as plug-in vehicles make up over 9% of new registrations over the last 12 months. This pace puts the County close to the tipping point of mainstream adoption. Explore the latest data on vehicle registrations and public charging and what these trends mean in this new blog from DEP.
We have two new entries in our continuing "Meet a New EV Owner" series. First, Ed Walters talks about his experience with his new Tesla Model 3. Then, Lauren Morra shares how her new VW id.4 works for her family.

Charging at home is one of the biggest benefits of driving electric, making it an important asset for condos, co-ops, and townhomes. Multiple communities across the county have installed charging or begun exploring the process. On July 23, Clarksburg Condominium II held a ribbon cutting ceremony to open its chargers to the public, featuring a number of officials including Acting Director of DEP Adriana Hochberg.
Now, DEP is hosting a webinar in collaboration with the Commission on Common Ownership Communities (CCOC) and Montgomery County Green Bank to answer key questions about installing charging. The webinar will be held on two dates: Tuesday, September 6 from 6-8pm and Sunday, September 11 from 10am-12pm. Click here to register.
