Get Boosted!
As of January 1, 2022, 44% of Montgomery County’s fully vaccinated population received a COVID-19 booster/additional dose. According to the Governor, only 2 percent of those hospitalized for Covid-19 have been boosted and 74 percent of Covid patients in Maryland hospitals are unvaccinated. We continue to urge all eligible residents to get vaccinated and boosted to prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death as our community navigates the Omicron surge.
Eligibility recently expanded to include individuals age 12 and older who received their second dose at least five months ago. Make your booster appointment at www.GoVaxMoco.com.
Getting tested is more critical than ever to keeping your community safe and healthy. Montgomery County is now distributing at-home COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test kits from Montgomery County Public Libraries. Since April 10, Montgomery County has distributed more than 202,000 at-home rapid test kits and will continue to do so with updated hours starting next week (closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday).
Make a plan to get tested today, and be safe!
