VACCINATION DISTRIBUTION
Friends,
Montgomery County continues to vaccinate, and schedule appointments to vaccinate, residents 75 and older for COVID-19 (Group 1B, Tier 1) as well as first responders and others in Priority Groups 1A. The number of Montgomery County residents who have received their first vaccine dose is 107,589. The number of County residents who are fully vaccinated is 34,022.
Although individuals in most of Phase 1B and Phase 1C are not yet eligible to receive a vaccination from those administered by our local health clinics, preregistration is open for those groups. Those in tiers within Priority Group 1B, including teachers, childcare workers, essential workers and individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as people in Priority Group 1C, Tier 1 (65-74 years old), Tier 2 (individuals 16-64 years old with medical conditions) and Tier 3C (essential workers not covered in previous phases and food service workers) are able to preregister on the County's COVID-19 vaccination page (www.montgomerycountymd.gov/covid19/vaccine/).
Starting this week, two additional private providers are now also administering COVID-19 vaccinations at select CVS and Walgreens locations. Please note that our County health department is not involved with the appointment process for any private provider. In addition to CVS and Walgreens, the County website (see above) has links to information on Adventist Healthcare, Holy Cross, MedStar Health, Suburban Hospital/Johns Hopkins, Kaiser Permanente, Giant and Safeway.

*Spouses/Partners age 70+ can receive a vaccine if a person 75+ is invited to an appointment. If, after making your appointment, there is a spouse or partner who lives with you who also needs a vaccination, do not register them, please contact 240-777-5202 for assistance (between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.).
