2019 Water Table Testing Deadline Approaches
The 2019 Montgomery County water table testing season began in January and tentatively ends on Monday April 15th, 2019. These dates are subject to change based on precipitation amounts and field observations during the testing season. A water table test is required for all proposed sewage disposal areas. Upon successful completion of the water table evaluation, percolation tests may then be conducted any time to determine soil suitability.
The submission deadline for applications for water table testing shall be April 1, 2019. Applications submitted after April 1, 2019 may be at risk for missing the 2019 testing season.

DPS Website Features for Permit Information
In January, DPS rolled out their new website. The online action buttons for the new DPS website provide several features for finding information about permits.
Check Permit Status - provides the user with information about the status of a permit. You must know the application type and permit number to obtain information about reviews and permit status. If you don’t know the permit number, use Data Search to search by property address.
Data Search - provides the user general information about permits for a property address, by contractor, complaint status, residential inspectors, special interests and more.
