Holiday message from Council President Nancy Navarro

Dear Friends,

As we approach the holiday season, I would like to invite everyone to take a moment and reflect on what we have accomplished so far.

I continue to be humbled by the opportunity to serve as your Councilmember, and as the new Council President, I have the privilege of setting an agenda that will deliver needed services to all our county’s residents. Chief among that agenda is the design and implementation of a full-scale, high-quality, accessible, and affordable early care and education initiative. There is a strong connection between children ready for the classroom and a thriving economy.

If we are serious about maintaining our competitive edge as a county and as a nation, the work of preparing our future workforce for a rapidly evolving job market must start with a comprehensive early care and education system.

I hope you and your family have a happy holiday season, and may the New Year be filled with peace, love, and harmony. I look forward to continuing to serve you next year. We have much work ahead, but together we will accomplish great things.
