Now that we are in 2020, keep informed about Maryland Census 2020 as we approach Census Day - April 1, 2020.

From the U.S. Census Bureau:
Happy New Year to 330,222,422 People in the United States

As the nation rings in the new year, the U.S. Census Bureau projects the U.S. population will be 330,222,422 on Jan. 1, 2020.

The nation starts the new decade with an increase of 1,991,085 people, or 0.61%, from New Year’s Day 2019. Since Census Day (April 1) 2010, the population has grown by 21,476,884 or 6.96%.

Net International Migration Projected to Fall to Lowest Levels This Decade

Net international migration added 595,000 to the U.S. population between 2018 and 2019, the lowest level this decade. This is a notable drop from this decade’s high of 1,047,000 between 2015 and 2016. The U.S. Census Bureau’s Vintage 2019 population estimates released today show that international migration added about 7.9 million people to the nation’s population since the last census in 2010. Annual growth in net international migration slowed between 2015 and 2016 and has been declining since.
