This February, we encourage you to show some love for insurance! Start by reviewing your current policy. Next, take a closer look at what you're paying for and consider how life changes, such as buying a home, getting married, having a child, or even going through a divorce, may affect your insurance needs. Also, think about recent purchases—did you surprise your Valentine with new jewelry or plan a getaway? Ensuring you have adequate protection in place is just another reason to love insurance!
While the Maryland Insurance Administration does not sell insurance and we cannot recommend a particular policy or insurance company, we do want to help you learn what types of coverage are available. Additionally, we are here to assist you if you have a complaint involving an insurer, an insurance producer, public adjuster or adviser.
Many people may experience emotional distress, especially following traumatic events. We want to remind you that mental health resources are available. Our Consumer Advisory provides valuable information on accessing support, finding a provider, what to do if you have questions about your health coverage, and more. You are not alone—help is available.
